CASH, THE COMPOSER

CASH was born and raised and now lives in Charleston, SC, where she founded the Music Academy of the Two Rivers in 2019. She earned her Bachelors of Music Composition and a Bachelors of Mathematics from Converse College in 2017, and completed her post baccalaureate studies at the College of Charleston in Violin Performance in 2021.

She has since worked with Midtown Theatre Productions, South of Broadway Theatre, Bare Stage Productions, Charleston's Absent Friends, and the North Charleston Pops Orchestra.

She first began her research for 'Fantasmagoriana' in 2015, when her father proposed the story to her, pointing out that 2016 would be the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein's composition by 19 year old Mary Shelley, at which time Cash herself would be 19, coincidentally. After 8 years of off and on research, getting hit by a car, and seeing her father diagnosed with cancer, Cash finally put pen to paper and wrote the show. It premiered Halloween 2024 as an Immersive Experience.

Cash is now researching her next work, working title 'Six Miles'. This musical explores the character of the ghost of Lavinia Fisher, a figure whose life vastly differs from the legends that have spawned since her death. Cash is documenting the process of the research, writing, and production of this show in a YouTube series, updated every other week, which takes its cues from the analog horror genre.
